Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health is a one year course which deals about the advanced studies in topics such as Epidemiology, Health Behavior and Health Services Administration. Bachelors degree in allied subjects is the minimum educational qualification. Average course fee amounts to Rs. 3 lakhs.
Eligibility Criterion for Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health
Candidates who have completed four years full time courses in any of the below mentioned courses after Higher Secondary Course are eligible to apply for this course.
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering
In addition to this, candidates who have completed post graduation/ PG Diploma in any of the following subjects from a recognized University are also eligible to apply.

In addition to academic qualifications, candidates are expected to have certain qualities such as understanding of public health issues, analytical skills so as to conduct research in various areas of public health.
Course Structure of Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health
Duration of this Post graduate diploma program is one year. It is further divided into two semesters. Course structure is designed in such a manner so as to match the demands of working professional in public health, medical care & allied areas. Fee Structure of Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health
Overall fee for this course amounts to Rs. 3 lakhs. Candidates can pay the course fee in two installments. They are required to pay Rs. 1.5 lakhs at the time of admission. Remaining amount can be paid during second semester of the course.
