National Institute of Technology (Goa) is one of the 10 new NITs commissioned by the Central Government in the year 2009. The institute has recently set up its campus at Farmagudi. The goal of the institute is to provide equal opportunities for students to realize their full potential or caliber. National Institute of Technology, Goa is considered as one of the fastest growing new NITs. National Institute of Technology are actually the premier institutions of technology, which were initially started off as the Regional Engineering Colleges. Various B.Tech programmes in the field of CSE, ECE and EEE are offered to students by the institute.

Job Profile:

National Institute of Technology (Goa) is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the faculty positions of Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. The positions are available in the regular cadre and on contract basis as well. The faculties are required in the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics and Economics.

Eligibility:

Age Limit for Professor: Candidates are required to have age less than 50 years as on 31 March 2012.
Age Limit for Associate Professor: Candidates are required to have age less than 40 years as on 31 March 2012.
Age Limit for Assistant Professor: Candidates are required to have age less than 35 years as on 31 March 2012.

Relaxation in the upper age limit may be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregateor equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate at B.tech or M.Sc. or M.A. or MBA lebel in appropriate branch.

Professor: Minimum 10 years post Ph.D. experience in industrial or research or teaching experience is required for this post.

Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years post Ph.D. experience in industrial or research or teaching experience is required for this post.

Assistant Professor: No experience is required for this post.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.
Associate Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.
