Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology was initially established with the name of Paddy Processing Research Centre. The institute is actually a pioneer Research and Development institute which comes under the control of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. The institute was established in the year 1967. The institute became a National Institute in the year 2008. The institute is located at Thanjavur. The institute includes hi tech instruments equipped modern laboratories.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology. Recruitment of candidates will be made on direct recruitment or deputation basis. The faculty posts are available in various disciplnes or departments.

Posts of Professor and Associate Professor are available in the disciplines of Harvest Technology, Food Engineering, Food process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering or Food Technology or Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Process Engineering.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
Posts Available: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be exceeding 50 years.
Educational Qulaification: Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines from a recognized university. Minimum 10 years experience in a research or teaching is also required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Posts Available: Only 7 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be exceeding 45 years.
Educational Qulaification: Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines from a recognized university. Minimum 4 years experience in a research or teaching is also required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Posts of Assistant Professor are available in the disciplines of Food Science or Food Technology or Plant Pathology specialized in Food processing areas and Plant Physiology.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Posts Available: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be exceeding 30 years.
Educational Qulaification: Master’s degree in concerned disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates should also have passed or cleared National Eligibility Test.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

A non refundable application fee of Rs. 500 is need to be submitted in the form of a crossed Demand Draft. The demand draft of Rs. 500 is need to be submitted by General and OBC candidates. No fees is to be submitted by SC/ST candidates. No other means of payment except demand draft, will be accepted. The demand draft should be made in favour of The Director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Thanjavur- 613005 payable at Thanjavur. The name and address of the candidates are also need to be written on the back of the demand draft.
