National Institute of Ayurveda was established on February 2, 1976 under the Government of India. It was established as an apex institute. The major objective behind the establishment of the institute to have a responsible body for the promotion of the growth and development of Ayurveda in the country. One of the another prime objective of the institute is to provide medical care thorugh the Ayurvedic System of Medicine to the suffering humanity.

Job Profile:

National Institute of Ayurveda is inviting applications in the prescribed format for the following faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Lecturers. The posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Lecturer are available in different disciplines.

Posts available in the fields of Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra and Kayachikitsa.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum 55 years as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned subject is required with atleast 7 years of experience as Reader in the concerned subject.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

Posts available in the fields of Swasth Vritta, Prasuti Stro Roga, Shalakya Tantra, Kayachikitsa and Kaumara Bhritya.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum 50 years as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned subject is required with atleast 5 years of experience as Senior Lecturer in the concerned subject.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Posts available in the fields of Agad Tantra, Panchakarma, Prasuti Stri Roga, Roga Vigyan and Shalakya Tantra.

3. Recruitment of Lecturer:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject from a recognized university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 1000 is required to be submitted by the General and OBC categories candidates. SC and ST candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 500 only. The application fee must be submitted in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
