Tezpur University was established in the year 1994 as a reputed Indian Central University. The university is located in Tezpur in the state of Assam. Janaki Ballabh Patnaik is the Chancellor of the university while Professor Mihir K. Chaudhary is on the position of Vice Chancellor. The university is affiliated to UGC and its has a urban campus. The university runs on its motto “Specialized Knowledge Promotes Creativity”. The university actually came into existence by an Act of Parliament in the year 1994. Former Prime Minsiter of India, P. V. Narsimha Rao, chaired the opening of the university.

Job Profile:

Tezpur University is looking for educated and experienced candidates on the vacant faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Candidates will be placed on the specified positions in different departments.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to have age atleast more than the minimum age limit and also less than the maximum age limit. Different age limits have been set for all the three faculty positions (Professor, Associate Profesor and Assistant Professor) in Tezpur University.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree in Business Management/Adminsitration or in a relevant discipline is the educational qualification required for all the three posts. Candidates should also have a consistent good academic record with atleast 60% marks in their master’s degree. Ph.D. degree holding candidates will get preference over other candidates.

Assistant Professor: Only 14 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.
Associate Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

Submission of Application fee by candidates is must. Application fee is to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 drawn in any nationalised bank. It should be made in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur only. Candidates applying from abroad must make the DD of US$ 15. Candidates applying for more than one post must send seperate application fee for each post. Candiate’s name and post applied for must be written on the back side of draft.
