Chief Secretary of the UP Government is the President of the Governing body. The medical departments of the institute includes Department of Anatomy, Department of Anaesthesia, Department of Dental Surgery, Department of Communicty Medicine, Department of Microbiology, Department of Orthopaedics etc. The other departments in the institute includes Department of Administration, Department of CAC, Department of Central Library and Department of Finance.

Eligible Indian Citizens are invited to apply on the following faculty positions of Professor/Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer in UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research. The posts are available in the Departments of Anatomy, De3rmatology, Neurology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Radio Diagnosis, Pharmacology, TB & Chest etc.

1. Recruitment of Professor/ Additional Professor:
No. of posts: Only 14 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of third schedule of the Indian medical Council Act, 1956.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 17 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of third schedule of the Indian medical Council Act, 1956.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 30 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess MD or MS or MDS or Ph.D. qualification in the relevant subject with three years post graduate teaching or research experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

4. Recruitment of Lecturer:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess M.Sc. qualification in the Medical Physics from a recognized university. Candidates with M.Sc. in Physics alongwith a Post Graduate Diploma in Radiological Physics, are also eligible to apply.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
