S.K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research was founded in the year 1996 under the jurisdiction of Ganpat University. It is the first non-government pharmacy college in the whole of North Gujarat and it was established with the vision of offering competent health care professionals to the community.

Courses offered:

As the name implies, S.K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research offers diploma, UG degree and PG degree in pharmaceutical education. In addition, the college is also planning to  introduce several short-term specialization courses shortly.

Research:

Apart from the PG/UG courses in pharmacy, the college is also running research-oriented courses like M. Pharm in pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, quality assurance, industrial pharmacy and pharmaceutics and Ph. D is offered in all multidisciplinary areas of pharmaceutical education.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission into the first year of the diploma in pharmacy course, students must hold the higher secondary school certificate awarded by the board of secondary education of Gujarat or any other equivalent board with mathematics/biology, physics and chemistry. For B. Pharm, the candidates must have completed 10+2 with the above-mentioned subjects. For M. Pharm, candidates must have completed their B. Pharm course from an approved institution. For Ph. D course, candidates must have completed M. Pharm from an approved institution.

Campus of the College:

S.K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research is spread over an area of 10 acres of land and it is a part of Ganpat University campus. The building is provided with several facilities like administrative area, capsule & tablet manufacturing unit, animal house, library with Wi-Fi Network, auditorium, tutorial rooms, classrooms, 18 laboratories for conducting research and other facilities meant for pharmacy education. The campus also includes supermarket, open-air theatre, guesthouse, sports complex, central dispensary, central canteen, hostel, staff quarters, etc…
