Sapthagiri College of Engineering was established in 1993 and is managed by Lord Venkateswara Educational Trust. The college holds around 250 acres of land and has an excellent infrastructure. The trust sponsors more than 10 educational institutions which includes nursing, physiotherapy and pharmacy colleges. This engineering college is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

Admission & Eligibility:

The candidates should have passed 10 +2 with minimum 55% marks (45% for reserved category) and should get through the engineering entrance exam conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu. The age limit for the candidates is 21 years except for SC/ST students. There is no specific age limit for the candidates seeking admission to second year through Lateral entry scheme.

Procedure for applying:

The prospectus can be obtained from any of the group of Sapthagiri or Padmavathi group. The candidates who are coming from other states should obtain an Eligibility certificate from Anna University, Chennai.

Amenities:

The college library has a huge collection of over 8,000 books with various titles apart from many reference books and periodicals. The college bus runs to different parts of Dharmapuri for transporting students from remote areas also. Separate hostel facilities are available for the students who are away from home.

Placement Service:

The Placement cell in this college organizes campus interviews from various companies for giving the right opportunity for its students. Many students are awarded with high profile job each year through this selection process on campus. Apart from this, the college provides training for exams like GATE and TOEFL and GRE exams for the benefit of students to procure scholarship for future study in India and abroad.
