Saveetha Engineering College was established in 2005 with the aim of providing quality education to produce qualified engineers to the society. The faculties of this college and an outstanding infrastructure have made this college as a premier institute in the city which provides remarkable environment for learning.

This institute belongs to the group of Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust which was founded in 1986, which also manages a dental college, physiotherapy college, nursing college and a medical college. There is no wonder the trust was awarded with University status by the UGC to start Saveetha University in 2005. The engineering college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

Admission and Eligibility:

The admission norms are as per the guidelines issued by the Anna University, Chennai. The candidates must have completed 17 years of age before applying for the course. He/she should have obtained 50% marks in aggregate in higher secondary examination and should have studied the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in 10 +2. Admission is based on the merit marks obtained in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination.

For admission in M.E. and M.Tech courses the candidates should have completed B.E. or B.Tech in the respective disciplines.

Infrastructure and amenities:

The college is built in serene atmosphere in the suburb of Chennai and has remarkable infrastructure facilities. The college has also extended accommodation for its students. Unlike other colleges, single room facility is also available in this college hostel.
