Profile:

North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST) was established in the year 1961. The institute is amongst one of the multidisciplinary laboratories of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) under its Chemical Science Group of Laboratories. Rs. 110 crores is the approx. annual turn over of the products produced with RRL technologies within the country. One of the significant acheivment of the institute is the potent new generation anti matarial drug active know as ‘Arteether’.

Job profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Scientists in Grade IV and Technical Grade III depending on theri educational qualification.

Eligibility:

The maximum age limit set for the posts of Scientist is 35 years while for the posts of Technical, the maximum age limit set is 28 years.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification criteria set for the posts should be fullfilled by the candidates in order to apply for the specified posts of scientists.

Scientist Grade IV: 17 posts
technical Grade III: 2 posts

Pay Scale:

Scientist Grade IV: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.6600
Technical Grade III: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200

Selection Process:

Both written examination and the interview with the selection committee together constitutes the selection process for the posts of Scientists.
