Seethalakshi Achi College for Women is a government aided arts and science college offering education with affiliation from the Alagappa University. The college was established in the year 1962 by Mr. Arunachalam Chettiar in remembrance of his spouse Mrs. Seethalakshi Achi thereby giving her name to the college.

Admission Capacity of the college:

For B.A courses, the college is approved with an intake capacity of 175 and 61 students respectively, while for Bachelor of Business Economics course, the intake capacity is 146 students. For B. Sc courses, the approved intake capacity of the college according to the order given above is 70, 88, 94 and 115 students respectively. For B. Com course, the college is approved with an intake capacity of 158 students per year. For PG courses, the approved intake capacity of Seethalakshmi Achi College for Women is 15 and 36 students respectively and for self-financing courses, the intake capacity is 21 and 89 students respectively. For the certificate course, Seethalakshi Achi College for Women is 120 students per year.
