Sri Satya Sai Institute of Home Science for Women was established by the Bhagwan Shri Sathya Sai Education Society.  The institute began its educational journey from the academic year 2001-2002 and it is affiliated to Karnataka State Women’s University located at Bijapur.

Courses offered:

Sri Satya Sai Institute of Home Science for Women is offering two courses at the UG level and they are as follows:

• Bachelor of Home Science

• Bachelor of Computer Applications

Eligibility Criteria:

For the Bachelor of Home Science course, admission is open to candidates who have completed their PUC/higher secondary examination with computer, statistics, biology, mathematics, chemistry and physics. As far as Bachelor of Computer Applications course is concerned, admission is open to candidates who have completed their PUC or 10+2 in commerce/science stream or a diploma in engineering with mathematics as a subject. For both courses, candidates who have completed their job-oriented diploma course can also apply.

Admission:

The institute admits students purely on merit basis on the marks secured by the students in the qualifying examination for each of the courses mentioned above.

Hostel Facilities:

The institute is offering hostel facilities for students from other states. This women’s hostel is located near the campus of the institution and it offers homely food facility. The hostel is functioning in a secured environment and it is provided with security guard.
