The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University is one of the foremost institutes of the south imparting medical education. The field of medicine is a very diverse one and involves a number of offshoot branches. The Indian medicine is one of the most sought after branches of medicines in the country and is a matter of pride.

Importance of the paper

The Indian medicine is a branch of conventionally practiced forms of healing in the country and across the globe. It stresses a lot at the innovative skills of the student since the branch of medicine requires the student to be keen observant of the ailing body as the medicines need to be prescribed accordingly. Thus the paper largely deals with the question that tests the innovative skills of the candidate in identifying the root cause of the ailments that affect the person and then give medicines respectively.

Format

The whole paper is of 100 marks and the marks allotted for each question are indicated in the brackets against them.

Paper pattern

The paper consists of the five parts and the last four parts have questions which appear from module one, two, three and four respectively.

Marking

The first main question carries a total of forty marks, with each of the sub-question carrying five marks. The remaining four main questions, offered with Internal Options carries fifteen marks. There are no negative marks awarded. The candidate is expected to write the answers to the point in a simplified manner to score the most.
