Placement cell at Thiagarajar College:
Thiagarajar College established a placement cell in the year 2003 with an objective of inculcating a sense of responsibility among students to be placed in higher positions. The cell functions as a bridge between prospective employers and employees with its main focus on employability of the students of the college. The cell was established by the college with the following objectives:
• To train and motivate students for succeeding in interviews through the counseling and career guidance cells functioning in the college
• To organize off-campus and on-campus interviews
• To maintain a good relationship with companies for understanding their requirements
• To recognized leading companies in different areas
Career guidance cell at Thiagarajar College:
Career guidance cell was established by the management of the college in 2003 and the cell is offered with the responsibility of preparing students for job placements and campus interviews and also to train them for civil service and other competitive examinations. The cell is also responsible for organizing seminars and workshops on presentation skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationship and personality development for bringing about all round development in students. Training programmes are offered by the cell on stress management, behavioral skills, etc…
