Women’s Christian College, Chennai
Women’s Christian College was shifted to its main campus in the heart of Chennai and was\declared as a first grade college in 1916. The college began on 7th July 1915 as a joint venture of 12 missionary societies from USA and England. The college was founded with a mission to give higher studies to the women of India. The college is affiliated to the University of Madras and was recognized as an autonomous college in 1982. The college is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2005.
Infrastructure:
Women’s Christian College is situated in a greenish area of Chennai and offers an eco friendly environment for studying. The college campus provides all sorts of facilities to its students like College stores, Canteen, Xerox Centre, Library and sports fields etc. The college also provides residential facility to its students and is connected to the main city.
Courses Offered:
The college offers both aided and self-financed courses in various educational fields of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the candidates.
Admission Procedure:
The admission is based on government rules. The candidates have to collect an application form in order to apply for the specified courses. The college receives applications for admission to the various degrees in the month of May or June every year.
