Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1960 on the 20th of June and the inauguration of the college was conducted on the 8th of September the same year. The college has received B++ status from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and it is affiliated to Nagpur University.

Recreation facilities offered by the college:

Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya believes that in addition to offering quality education, some recreation facilities are to be offered to the students and as a result, the college offers some of the recreation facilities like home science festivals, food festivals, dance and music competitions, annual cultural programs, indoor and outdoor games, exhibitions and poetry recital competitions to bring out the other talents of the students.

College Library:

Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya has allocated a separate building for library, which is closely situated to the main campus. The library is provided with a massive collection of more than 55000 books, which includes a separate reading room with a capacity to accommodate 120 students at a time. The library offers book bank facility to deserving students and library card system is also followed for lending books to the students.
