S.A.R.M. College of Education is formed in the year 1984 and it is affiliated to Sri Krishnadevaraya University. The college was established under the society name of Sri Ankala Reddy Memorial Education Association. The college has got approval from National Council for Teacher Education to offer graduation course in Education. The college is functioning in its own building at the city of Allagadda in Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh State.

Course Offered:

S.A.R.M. College of Education is offering bachelor of education and the course structure consists of 24 papers divided into four categories namely, theory papers, methods records, special projects and practical papers. Of the four categories, the fourth and final category consists of seven papers of which three papers are practical papers where in the students are given teaching practice and this can otherwise be called as internship program.

Admission procedure:

Students are admitted to this college, based on the marks secured by them in the common entrance test called as EdCET. But, mere passing of this exam will not make a candidate to get admission since he/she will have to satisfy other norms specified by the Sri Krishnadevaraya University. The admission of students is also made on the basis of the extent of intake permitted by the government, apart from EdCET. Normally a certain percentage of candidates are admitted for each subject of education and the same is as follows: 30% for Social studies, 25% for biological sciences, 15% for physical sciences and 30% for mathematics. Of the total number of seats, 15% of seats are allotted for management quota.

Infrastructure:

The campus of the college is provided with lab facilities so as to offer practical training to the students in computer, physics and chemistry related subjects.
