KB Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research was established in the year 1995 and the institution was awarded with the status of a constituent unit of Kadi Sarva Vishvavidhyala. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has awarded the institution with B++ status and it is also approved by AICTE.

Programmes offered:

The institution is offering education and conducting research in the field of pharmacy and the list of courses offered by the institution along with the course duration is given below:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy  - Four years with two semesters per year

• Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacology) – Two years with two semesters for each year

• Ph. D – Three to five years

In addition to offering pharmacology in the Master’s degree, the institution is also planning to introduce several other branches like quality assurance & pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical biotechnology and PG diploma in Cosmetic technology.

Admission requirement:

For getting admission into the bachelor of pharmacy course offered by the institution, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream and for Master of pharmacy, candidates with a valid Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution can apply. As far as Ph. D course is concerned, candidates with Master of Pharmacy from a recognized institution can apply.

Intake Capacity:

The intake capacity of KB Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & research is 60 students, 10 students and 3-6 students for B. Pharm, M. Pharm and Ph. D courses respectively.

Research:

It has become a need of the day to develop the research facilities in thrust area and with this view, the institution has begun developing expertise in several such fields. The institution is focusing on the areas like pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacogenomics & molecular pharmacology, new drug delivery systems, phyto-pharmaceuticals, computer aided drug design and combinational chemistry.
