Who can apply for DA-IICT PH.D Entrance Exam?

Eligibility for the Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO for DA-IICT PH.D Entrance Exam

Foreign nationals can apply for the PhD program. The application procedure and form for the exam will be the same as for the Indian nationals. The only exception is that foreign students need to fill in some additional details. These students also need to write the admission test and attend the interview. They also need to send 3 references to the university by post. The referee’s names’ must be mentioned in the admission form.

Scholarship program for DA-IICT PH.D Entrance Exam

Financial assistance is given to those students who are exceptional in their studies. This scholarship will only be given to students who are freshers. These students also must not be above 28 years and must have secured first class in all classes in the course of their education. The scholarship shall be given for a period of 4 years. The candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 18,000 each month for the first 2 years and Rs. 20,000 a month for the subsequent 2 years.

Other Incentives granted for students:

Applicants who have enrolled themselves as a TCS Research Scholar are eligible to get support for the paper presentation in a single International refereed conference that is held outside India. They also can get help for 2 National or International refereed conferences held within the country during the period of study.

A TCS Research Scholar who is eligible to carry on as a Teaching Assistant of the institution shall receive an additional stipend of approximately Rs. 7,500 a month in addition to the stipend given by the Fellowship.
