Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers conducts several paper examinations for the level of AMIETE-ET. The Applied Mechanics Papers is coded as AE03. It includes general and applied mechanics. The mechanism of various fundamentals of mechanics is also included in this paper.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

For taking part in the AMIETE-ET graduate course in Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, the minimum qualification required for each candidate is to pass 12th standard or its equivalent examination with math and physics as their compulsory subject. One should have passed 3 year diploma with math and physics to apply for this course.

Scoring and negative markings:

As the Applied Mechanics Papers holds the different types of question format the markings of each question is different and there are no such negative markings.

Mode of examination:

The IETE AMIETE-ET (Old Scheme) Applied Mechanics Papers is a conventional pen-paper examination.

Format:

There are both subjective and multiple type questions asked from the AMIETE-ET (Old Scheme) Applied Mechanics Papers. First eight sub questions of first question are multiple types and rest are subjective. There are a total of six questions in part I and five question in part II.

Paper pattern:

The paper pattern for every paper of the IETE AMIETE-ET level course is almost same. There are a total of 11 questions. The first question is mandatory for every appearing student and apart from those 3 questions from part I and part II are also mandatory.

Markings:

The full marks allotted for the IETE AMIETE-ET (Old Scheme) Applied Mechanics Papers is 100.

Timing

One should answer all the compulsory questions from IETE AMIETE-ET (Old Scheme) Applied Mechanics (AE03) Papers within three hours.
