High Court of Haryana and Punjab was established in the year 1966 under the jurisdiction of Punjab, Harayan and Chandigarh. The court is authorized by Constitution of India. The decisions of the counrt are appealed to Supreme Court of India. The strength of this court is 68 judges in which there is one Chief Justice, 36 Permanent Judges and 31 Additional Judges. Mr. Mukul Mudgal is the current Chief Justice of the court. He was appointed on December 2009 and he is to retire on January 3, 2011. The shifting of the seat of the High Court was occurred on January 17, 1955.

Job Profile:

High Court of Punjab and Haryana is looking forward to recruit eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant temporary position of Stengrapher Grade-III. Selected candidates will be recruited in the various Session Divisions (Subordinate Courts) in the State of Haryana. Vacancies are available in the Session Divisions located at Ambala, Fatehabad, Faridabad, Jind, Jhajjar, Karnal, Panchkula, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, Sonipat, Yamuna Nagar, Narnaul, Kaithal, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Gurgaon etc.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Stengrapger Grade-III is 18 years as on 1 January 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Stengrapger Grade-III is 40 years as on 1 January 2011.

SC/ST/BC candidates of Haryana will get relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. Ex-Serviceman candidates will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit depending on the no. of years rendered in military service and additional 3 years relaxation.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates must also have proficiency in operation of Computers including the knowledge of Word Processing and Spread Sheets. The prescried educational qualification is need to be possessed by the candiates or else they will not be considered eligible for the specified post.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be provided the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Application Fee:

Application fee of prescribed amount i.e. Rs. 500 is need to be submitted by the General and OBC candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC categories of Punjab should submit an application fee of Rs. 125 only. Reserved categories candidates of other states must submit an application fee of Rs. 500 only.

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to undergo a Shorthand test and a computer proficiency test. Only those candidates, who will qualify in the test will be called for viva voice. The final selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of the merit list prepared.
