Kurukshetra University is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university came into existence in the year 1956 as an education and research institute. The university is a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities. The main aim behind the establishment of the university was to promote Indian culture and traditions. The first department started in the university was Department of Sanskrit. The inauguration of the university was performed by India’s first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The university has an urban campus spreaded in an area of 400 acres.

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the following position of Assistant Professor in Kurukshetra University. The vacacnies are available in the University Teaching Departments, Institute of Environmental Studies, University College, University College of Education and Directorate of Distance Education. Eligibility:

Candidates should have age in between the prescribed age limit set for the post of Assistant Professor in Kurukshetra University. Educational Qualification:
