Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research is an autonomous institute which works on its motto “Care of the Needy and Research for Good of All”. The institute came into existence in the year 1962 as one of the prestigious medical and research institution in Asia. The institute has also been awarded the status of being a Deemed University which means that it can give its own degree to students by an act of Parliament of India. Job Profile:

Eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the vacant faculty positions of Assistant Professor in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research. The posts of Assistant Professor are available in the disciplines of Neurology, Paediatric Gastroenterology, Transfusion Medicine and Hospital Administration. Candidates are advised their eligibility before applying for the specified post.

Eligibility:

Candidate are required to strictly follow the age criteria set for the post of Assistant Professor in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research. Candidates must have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit. Relaxation may be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates must possess Post Graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized university of India as such by Medical Council of India. Besides possessing the prescribed educational qualification, candidates should also have atleast one year experience in the field of researh or teaching in a recognized institution. Those candidates, who possess DM degree of minimum 3 year duration, are not required to have any experience for being eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

Assistant Professor (in Paedritric Gastroenterology): Only 1 post is available.
Assistant Professor (in Transfusion Medicine): Only 3 posts are available.
Assistant Professor (in Hospital Administration): Only 4 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates must pay the prescribed amount of non refundable application fee in the form of a Demand Draft only. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh payable at State Bank of India, Sector-12, Chandigarh (Code No. 1524).

Application fee for General candidates: Rs. 500 only.
Application fee for SC/ST cateories candidates: Rs. 250 only.
