The Institute is affiliated to a University in accordance with the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh State University Act, 1973. The few of the major objectives of the institute are establishment of the Medical College, establishment of Para Medical College and also establishment of College including super specialty facility. UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research has became renowned name in the related field.
