The term A.W.H in the name of this college stands for Association for Welfare of the Handicapped and this college came into existence in the year 1996. The college was given this name because it was founded by the Association of Welfare of the Handicapped.

This college acts as a pioneer institution in the educational fields like speech language pathology, audiology, genetics and physiotherapy. The college is offering education with affiliation from the Calicut University.

For all the aforesaid courses, candidates will have to pay a caution deposit of Rs.1000 and the Tuition fee for B. Sc computer science, geology and electronics course is Rs. 10000, MSW course is Rs. 12500, for B. Sc genetics & BASLP course the fee is Rs. 15000, for BPT course it is 17500 and for MPT it is Rs. 50000. However, this fee structure can be changed.

How to apply to the college:

For applying to the different courses offered by A.W.H. Special College, candidates will have to submit the application in prescribed format that can be obtained along with prospectus from the campus of the college. The cost of application is Rs. 200 to be paid in cash. Even candidates can obtain the application form through post by taking DD for an amount of Rs. 220 in favor of Association for Welfare of the Handicapped payable at Calicut. Duly filled in application must be submitted to the office of the college either through post or in person and eligible candidates will be called for interview.
