Re: B.Tech in Electronics a good option after Diploma in Mechanical engineering?
No, it is not best to pursue B.Tech Electronics after completion of your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. You are not eligible to pursue B.Tech Electronics Engineering course after completion of your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Only candidates who have passed 12th standard with PCM stream or three years Diploma in Electronics Engineering course from a recognised institute are eligible to pursue B.Tech Electronics course. So, being a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, you are not eligible to get admission for pursuing B.Tech Electronics course.

Re: B.Tech in Electronics a good option after Diploma in Mechanical engineering?
No, B.Tech in Electronics is not at all a good option to be opted after doing diploma in Mechanical engineering because being a mechanical candidate you will possess the skills relating to mechanical background but not electronics background. Even colleges will not give admission into electronics department since you are from mechanical background.
So,i suggest you to choose mechanical engineering only for pursuing B.Tech. |

Quote:
Candidates after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering can pursue BE or BTech in the same discipline only. It is not possible to do BTech in Electronics after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering. Those candidates who have completed a three year diploma in ECE / EEE / CSC / Mechatronics are only eligible to pursue BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Therefore, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering candidates can study BTech in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates are admitted directly to the second year of the four years BTech course through lateral entry admission. |
