as a marketing student wich all couses can i go aftr ma 12?

Hello ....
I am doing my 12th now with commerce field ( subjects : economics , accounts , commerce , business mathematics ) , ( Language : English and French ) in the union territory of Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu . I am planning to do B.com along with ICWAI n then after that I have thought of doing CA . I am literally not aware of any good collages for the course of ICAWAI and CA here in Pondicherry . So I kindly request u to please suggest me were can I do these courses and also suggest me that is the selection of my future carrier having a good scope or not .

Once you have completed the 12th from commerce side there are plenty of courses to pick from. At the end of the day, it really depends on what exactly do you want to do. Which field are you interested in. The carrer option starts from B.Com after which you can complete MBA which has become very common these days, Chartered Accountant is another option commerce students prefer.

Like I said there are plenty of options, please decide on what suits you. There is no single good course to opt after completing 12th. There are several options all of which have good scope in the future. I am pointing out some of them below. Please read carefully.

CA - CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT

One of the most sought after course is CA. The job of Chartered Accountant is taxation, auditing and accounting for individual as well the company. CA is considered as evergreen field. There will always be the demand of CA in India. You will have to appear in the CA-CPT Examination for admission in CA. Once you complete the course there is option to either work for any corporate house or start your own firm.


B.com

Those students who want to complete MBA, B.Com is one of the most preferred option. You can simply complete commerce course in various streams like finance, maths, economics etc. Following this you can go for MBA course and get job in private companies, banks, insurance firms etc. The options are plenty and it basically depends on what exactly do you want to do.

BCA

Those who want to join computer field may take the BCA course especially if you intented to do post graduate course in computer applications. There is a myth that Commerce stream students can not apply for MCA which is absolutely wrong. You can do MCA after B.Com or BCA and work for a IT company.

LLB (Corporate Law)

LLB is not what commerce students prefer generally but nevertheless it is a great option. After you complete the LLB course you would be eligible to work as a corporate lawyer. It does not matter whether you work for small of big company it is a great field. As a corporate lawyer you will handle the legal issues related to the company.

C.S.

Company Secretaryship is a course that girls candidate belonging to the commerce stream love to approach. According to the 1980 Company Secretaries Act, it is mandatory for the companies with 50 lakh of capital to appoint CS.

ICWA

You can also do ICWA course from the Institute of Cost and works Accountants of India. ICWA course is divided into three parts - Foundation Course, Intermediate Course and Final Course. Once you have compelted the ICWA course, you will easily get admission for CS course that can be completed in only one year.

MBA

The most sought after course among commerce students is MBA. However you will have to complete an bachelor's course before you can take up the MBA course. You can either complete BBA, BCA or B.com.

BBA course is available for you.Any stream candidates are eligible are eligible to apply for this BBA Course . But Most of Colleges may Give Preference to Commerce stream candidates .The Minimum Percentage of marks is differ From 12th stream.

**To Apply for BBA course your age should be not more than 21 years.

If you go with BBA+MBA course then there are not many colleges that are offering this course.BBA+MBA integrated course which will be of 5 years duration.

2.CA (Charted Accountancy):

For pursuing this program a student should pass in senior secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent examination. Commerce graduates with Auditing, Commercial law, Accountancy are also eligible for pursuing this Course.

3.CS(Company Secretory):

For pursuing this program the minimum requirement is 10+2 or equivalent examination. Graduates and post graduates who have passed final exams of ICWAI or ICAI are also eligible for this program.

For this course there is a lower age limit i.e. you need to have completed 18 years of age to be eligible for this course.There is no upper age limit.The Company Secretary course is conducted by Institute of Company Secretary of India.

4.ICWAI(Institute of Cost and works Accountants of India):

For this program a candidate must have completed 17 yeras of ages and must have passed the senior secondary examination(12th) of any board recognized by the central or state government.

5.B.Com(Bachelor of Commerce):

for pursuing this B.com you have to passed the senior secondary examination(12th) from a recognized university.After completing B.com if you like to go higher studies like M.Com is available for you.

Look dear in the very beginning i would say that right now there are so many subjects is science commerce or humanities that its really difficult to describe all at a time.So in the very beginning you have to decide which you want to go for ,you have to know your likes and dislikes ,your strength and weakness and this way you will be able to choose one from all of them.So, let me say some thing about commerce as you are from commerce back ground.I am going to describe some courses related to commerce.They are as follows:

3.C.A.-If you want to opt for this course you have to pursue CPT an entrance exam for C.A .For applying this course you have to have a good base in accountancy and the basic knowledge in accountancy.The course is really a good course here you will be come to know about what accountancy means in details.By doing this you can have a good job or else you can open your own chartered firm.

4.C.S.-This is another course whose full name of company secretariat .To get into this you have to pursue an entrance test Foundation, then once again you should have to have a good base in english any basic knowledge about the functions of a company.By doing this you can get a good job.

As you're good in accounts I'll advice you to join bcom along with professional courses. St. Xaviers college should be your first priority.
