No you can't apply for TANCET counselling with your GATE score unless the counselling university mentions GATE rank holders for its counselling.

The answer for your 3rd question is simple GATE - category means candidates who had qualified in GATE and Non GATE means candidates who do not qualify in GATE or do not write GATE exam thats it. Please mention your branch and reservation chances so that we can tell you more precisely. All the best for your M.tech counselling.

hello friend,

Yes..Gate does not bother whether you have backlogs or not..all you have to be doing 2nd or above year in four year courses, 3rd or above year in 5 year courses.
If you are a graduate..you can apply also.
As gate rank is valid for 2 years You can clear your backlogs by that time.

Yes you can apply in the TANCET counselling to take admission in the M.tech under PSG college of technology, Coimbatore because in the M.tech admission PSG and some other top colleges of Tamilnadu give first preference to fill the seats which have valid score card of GATE exam and there after vacant seats are filled by the TANCET marks.
