Syllabus for the UP TET: There will be 5 subjects / Sections in Paper I. Each section / subject will have 30objective multiple choice type questions carrying one mark each. Duration of the exam is one and half hours. Following are the papers:
*. Child development and pedagogy
*. Language I (the medium of instruction)
*. Language II (chosen from a list other than language I)
*. Mathematics
*. Environmental studies
Exam pattern and Scheme: There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below:
*. Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classesI-V.
*. Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
*. Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.
Paper I (for classes I to V)No. of MCQs – 150
Duration of examination: 1:30 hours

TET exam is made compulsory for getting into a teaching in any of the schools.There is no limit for the number of attempts.The exam is conducted every year either by state government or by central government or by both.
The syllabus for the exam includes
1.child development and pedagogy
2.language 1,
3.language 2
4.mathematics
5.Environmental science
The pattern for the exam is 30 multiple choice question under each topic.

Eligibility for UPTET:

1.>Applicants should have B Ed degree. Validity of the B.Ed. will be decided by the UP state government. The B.Ed. degree certificate can not be more than 7 years old.

Pattern of examination of UPTET:

There will be two question papers and both will be in objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs.

Paper I: This is for those want to become teachers for classes I-V.

Paper II: This paper is for those aspiring to become teachers for the classes between VI and VIII.

Paper I and II: You can write both papers if you want to be eligible for teaching from Class I to VIII.

Last Date :- 18th October, 2011
