Re: Which are the courses available after 12th for PCB student?
I feel MBBS has too heavy course, it requires much commitment and sacrifices. I may feel difficult in the future if I take that course . so other than that which among BDS, Bsc in micrology and Bsc in biotechnology is the best course so that I can have good career and be successful.

Re: Which are the courses available after 12th for PCB student?
Hello, don't confuse I will give you the right answer because I am also a PCB student.
So, if you take PCB then you must be interested in the medical field. So, you can prepare for NEET and do MBBS which is far better than doing anything else. You will be a doctor then. Unfortunately, if you are not qualified then you can go for : - BDS - BHMS - BUMS - B PHARMA - BSc ( agriculture/ veterinary/forensic etc.) You have lots of option to do with PCB. Now the choice is yours what you can go for. ALL THE BEST |

Re: Which are the courses available after 12th for PCB student?
Well, that certainly is dependent upon where one intends to pursue such a qualification from. In the Republic of India, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science(BSc.-C.S.) programme does not tend to follow a union-wide or nation-wide common eligibility criteria for admissions & this is solely dependent upon the institution in question.
Traditionally(& to a large extent contemporarirly), most universities require knowledge of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics(P.C.M.) at the Senior Secondary(10+2) level. Yet, now-a-days many universities have bent the rules, & require knowledge of solely mathematics at the 10+2, regardless of the stream. These include some prestigious names such as the University of Delhi(D.U.). Some universities(at least one that I am personally aware of), take this a step further & remove any requirement(s) of any particular subject(s) at the 10+2 level, & thus, are open to 10+2(or equivalent) certificate holders from any stream, with any subjects. The only one of this kind of which I personally am aware of is the Chandigarh University, Mohali in the State of Punjab. Further, another aspect to this include the newly founded ‘liberal-arts’ universities which follow the ‘Major-Minor’ system of education. In such institutions, 10+2(or equivalent) certificate holders from any stream with any subjects are eligible for admission, & is granted the liberty to choose their subjects & choose their major & minor subjects from across streams. Ashoka University, Sonepat in the State of Haryana is a good example as it includes C.S. on it’s list of available academic majors. Professional Societies such as the National Institute of Electronics & Infortmation Technology(N.I.E.L.I.T.), which is under the Ministry of Electronics &a Information Technology(Mo.E.I.T.) of the Union Government of India, provide another aspect to this discussion. Within N.I.E.L.I.T. there exist 4 separate levels, i.e. the ‘O’ level(equivalent to a diploma) (duration: 1 year), the ‘A’ level(equivalent to an advanced diploma) (duration: 1 year), the ‘B’ level(equivalent to a Masters in Computer Applications) (duration: 2 years), &, the ‘C’ level(equivalent to a Master of Technology(MTech.) in C.S.) (duration: 2 years). The lowest of these, the ‘O’ level does not require knowledge of any particular subjects at the 10+2 level &I thus is open to 10+2 certificate holders from any stream, with any subjects. Although this is beyond the scope of the question asked, I believe an important factor in such a discourse is also the intentions of the candidate after graduating with the degree. If one intends to pursue further studies in the form of a Master of Science(MSc.) in C.S., then one may apply to any programme of study in any university in India following the Choice-Based-Credit-System(C.B.C.S.) which allows for a student to choose 4 subjects from any discipline except the one the student is majoring in, &, to study 4 semester subjects of the same in order to constitute a minor in the respective subject. This enables students to pursue post-graduate courses in the minor of their choosing, in addition to post graduate courses in their respective major. Further, I would also like to mention that if one does intend to stay within the same domain of computers, then one may pursue a Bachelor of Computer Applications(B.C.A.), B.C.A.-M.C.A. Integrated programme or a BSc. in Information Technology(I.T.) degree programme, all of which are comparatively more lax in their eligibility criteria. Universities like Jamia Hamdard University in the N.C.T. of Delhi & Amity University, NOIDA in the State of Uttar Pradesh offer B.C.A. & BSc.-I.T. programmes, admission to which are open to 10+2(or equivalent) certificate holders from any stream. Such graduates are also eligible for further studies in C.S., & also provide job opportunities in the larger computer realm. Another option, if the financial means are available to one, could be to pursue a bachelor’s degree programme in C.S. from the countries of the west such as the United States of America(U.S.A.) or the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland(U.K.), where the education system may be considered more accommodative, thus allowing such a leap. Last but not the least, if one is still hell bent on pursuing a BSc.-C.S. from an instituition which does require knowledge of mathematics at the 10+2 level, one may appear for, clear, & subsequently become eligible for the said degree through the On-Demand Examination Service(ODES) offered by the National Institute of Open Schooling(N.I.O.S.) in a mere 45 days. One may enroll in this any time during the year, with the examination a month from the date of registration, & the result is declared a month later. |
