There are two exams are available to join in Indian Army.
1.NDA exam
2.CDS exam

To join in Indian Army you have to apply for NDA exam or CDS exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.NDA exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

Eligibility criteria for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam.

•Candidates must be passed in 10+2 standard.

•Candidates must have at least 50% marks in class 10+2.

•Candidates age must be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

•Candidates height should be minimum 152.7cm.

•Candidates chest should be minimum 80cm.

Eligibility criteria for CDS(Combined Defence services) exam.

•Candidates must have graduation degree from any recognized university.

•Candidates age should be between 19 years to 24 years.

•Candidates should be Indian Citizen.

•Candidates must be physically good condition.

If you aim to join the Indian Army, then NDA is the exam for which you have to apply and sit.

This is known as the National Defense Academy exam and its conducted every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for recruiting the merit candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.


The Basic Eligibility Conditions which are required to be fulfilled by the candidates are :-


1. You should be an Indian National Male Candidate.

2. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board of India.

3. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years as in the year of applying. You cannot avail any kind of relaxation in this.

4. Physics and Maths are Compulsory subjects if you want to apply for the Indian Air Force or Navy.

5. Physical fitness is very necessary for all the candidates applying for this.


So once you satisfy all these, you can sit for the NDA exam.

-> The notification 2012 NDA is published very recently in the UPSC website. You can also check for the 31st December week Employment News edition.


-> The deadline to apply for this exam is on 30th January 2012.

-> The exam is scheduled to happen on 15th April 2012 (Sunday).

HOW TO JOIN INDIAN ARMY
You can join INDIAN ARMY by two ways

1. NDA
2. CDS

ELIGIBILITY NDA

• AGE=16.5 TO 19
• XII PASS FROM A RECOGNISED BOARD
• UNMARRIED MALE
• INDIAN CITIZENSHIP

For CDS you need GRADUATION...
BUT YOU CAN APPLY nda........

not to worry ncc certificate is not always neccesary for it.

you can appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC

beside this you can also enter in this field through UES.

and in logistic or educational branch of INDIAN ARMY.

Even if you dont have N.c.c "c " certificate . You can join the indian army , you can sit for the CDS exam which are held twice in a year , there are also other branch in the Indian army like logistic, technical , education etc.

No problem dear you can apply after passing graduation.
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.


C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
Candidate who pass the graduation in stream is eligible for this exam.

Age of the candidate should be in between 19-24 year.

This exam is conducted in three stage:-
> Written exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

dear friend,

After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Army.As you are a candidate of 12th in commerce then you are also very much eligible for Indian Army.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply.
You can also apply for N.D.A. and C.D.S.(Common Defense Services). There generally two examination are held for N.D.A., one is N.D.A.-1 and another is N.D.A.-2.You can also attempt both this two exam.

I don't think that with commerce there will be any type of problem in entering army. The thing most required in this field is fitness-physical and mental and this can be achieved nicely during training for the pupose. Candidate can be join in Cook,Laundry,soldier

2) For 12th candidate:-
