hi sir i am girl, now i am complit my graduation in commerce field with 47%. so please tell me can i join the Indian army officer,
my father was ex-serviceman in army, so reply me

Any graduate can join Indian army.For this HE have to appear for CDS (combined defense services.)exam which is held twice in a year i.e in the month of April & August.

The Eligibility criteria for the same is as under-

1. Your age must be between 19 to 23 years.

2. You must scored at least 1st division in your graduation degree.

You can join Indian Army through these entries-
National Defence Academy NDA Exam
Indian Military Academy
Indian Army Engineering Graduate Exam
Indian Army Short Service Commission (Non- Technical) Exam

you can join indian army by giving :-
NDA exam conducted by UPSE every year
1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year and can get more information from :
www.upsc.gov.in

2)UES and SSC: these are the exams conducted by indian army and you can get more information for these enteries from:
www.indianarmy.nic.in/

Definitely...You can join Indian Army after completing Graduation in Commerce. Don't worry about NCC certificate it doesn't create any problem.

As you have completed your graduation course in Commerce you can join Indian Army through CDS exam.

CDS- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Acdemy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Indian Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

To join Indian Military Academy of CDS the candidate must be an unmarried Indian national within the age group of 19 to 24 years of age having either appeared for final degree exam or passed from any stream from any recognised University with good physical fitness.

You can join indian army if you are eligible according to the following criterion :
1. The candidate must have passed the 12th class examination or any equivalent examination.
2. The age limit is 17 to 25.

The eligibility criteria for Indian Army is :
1. The candidate must have passed the 12th class examination or any equivalent examination in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and english as a medium language.
2. The candidate must have reached the age of 17 - 25 years.

If you want join in Indian Army through NDA, CDA and UES.These Exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

To apply this examinations the candidate must have to complete 12th or graduation from a recognized university.


National Defense Academy (NDA):

Education Qualification: 12th pass from a recognized university.
Age Limit: - 16.5 to 19 years.

Combined Defence Service (CDA) Examination:

Education Qualification: Completion of Graduation from a recognized university.
Age Limit: - 19 to 24 years.

University Entry Scheme (UES) Examination:

Education Qualification: Completion of Graduation from a recognized university
Age Limit: - 18 to 25 years.

Dear,

You can very well join the Indian Army as an Officer as a Commerce Graduate subject to you are below 25 years of age on date of commence of the training course which commences in Jan / Jul each year. You need not necessarily to have NCC certificate for joining the Indian Armed Forces. Enlistment is done through UPSC, New Delhi. Advertisement for joining as an Officer in the Indian Army appears in the Employment News and major National Newspapers in the Months of Mar / Apr and Sep / Oct each year.

As you have asked for the information regarding the eligibility criteria for NDA exam, i have mentioned them below:


Important dates:

Date of notification : 09.04.2011

Last date for application form : 09.05.2011

Date of commencement of exam : 24.08.2011

Eligibility for NDA:

Only unmarried male candidates who are born not earlier than 2nd July 1993 and not after 1st January 1996 are eligible.

For Army wing of NDA:

The candidate must have passed +2 with 10th and +2 pattern of school education.

For Air force and Naval Wing:

The candidate must have passed +2 with 10th and +2 pattern of school education involving of subjects namely mathematics and physics.

The age limit is 16 1/2 - 19 years.

I am in final year of MSc(Nursing). It is expected that I shall clear this exam within 6 moths. After finalising BSc(N), I have already one year experience of teaching as clinical instructor. It is requested to explain what job I shall be offered in army after clearing Sc(N).
