Age-limit for NET exams are as follows: -

1. Age Limit For JRF (NET) = Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years.

2. Age Limit For LS (NET) = Minimum 19 years and maximum 28 years.

• For Junior Research fellowship – You must be between 19 –28 years of age.
• For Lectureship – There is no upper age limit. You should be at least 19 years of age.

About NET Examination -

Firstly I Have To Inform You That The NET Examination was Conducted BY UGC Every Year Two Times, Firstly In June And Secondly In December Month.

To Apply for NET examination, You need to Purse a Master Degree Examination With At least 55% Marks (If You are General Candidates). Final year Master Degree Candidates are also Eligible For NET Examination.

AGE ELIGIBLITY -

For Junior Research Fellowship - Your Age Should Not be More Than 28 years. Age Relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, PH and OBC Candidates.

And For Lectureship - There is No Upper Age limit for Applying for Lectureship.

Eligible Candidates May apply for NET examination Online. But June Examination Was Already Completed. So, if you have Missed the Chance, Then Please apply for December Examination.

The lower age limit in NET is 19 yr while upper age limit is 28 yr for JRF with relaxation of 5yr for SC/ST and 3yr for OBC,and no age limit for LS.

The NET examination is conducted for Lecturer-ship and Junior Fellow Research.
The age limit for Lecturer-ship is minimum 19 years and there is no upper age limit.
The age limit for Junior Fellow Research is from 19 years to 28 years.

NET stands for { National Eligibility Test } . The net examination is conducted by the ugc university grands commission . The examination is conducted twice in a year .


Education Qualification :

if you want to apply for the net examination , then you should be qualified in post graduation any stream with 55% percentage of marks . if your belonging from sc/st candidate then relaxation is given for 50% percentage of marks .

Age Limit :

your age should not more than 28 years , if you belonging from sc/st candidate then the relaxation period is given for 5 years .

you should be submit your marks sheets , transfer certificate , birth certificate etc , then only your admit for examination .

For Junior Research Fellowship the age limit is 18-28 years.For the Lecturer ship there is no age limit criteria.

NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST) is conducted by the UGC twice in every year i.e in the month of july and december respectively.

Educational qualification:

The candidate should be complete post graduatio from any recognised university with atleast 55% marks.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

AGE LIMIT& RELAXATION
For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-12-2012 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.12.2012. No upper age limit.

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST

 The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A,B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.

# Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude.

# Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.

# Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
