NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:-Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army .

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable for NDA Exam .Final year of 12th standard candidate are also applicable for NDA exam.NDA exam not require any kind of percentage marks so your marks is acceptable for NDA exam.You have completed 12th standard with PCM so you are applicable for NDA exam for all above Branches.You must have a citizenship of India .Only unmarried male candidate are applicable.Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years old .There is no age relaxation provide for reserved candidate .

If your eye sight is weak then you can not apply for NDA exam , because at the time of medical test you should be reject . The eyesight criteria for NDA exam is given below-

To join in NDA first you can crack the NDA examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. This examination is conducts twice in year. i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.

According to NDA there is some of the eye requirement for those various NDA wings(Indian Air Force/Indian Navy/ Indian Army).

Eye requirements:

Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6.

According to the NDA Physical Standards the candidates who wish join the NDA must have the following Vision Eligibility

Corrected with Glass => 6/6
Myopia Limits => - 0.75
Hypermetropia => +1.5
Color Perception => I
Binocular Vision => III

These are the Vision Eligibility for the NDA . But for the Indian Air force It has the special requirements they are the

Corrected With Glass => 6/6
Uncorrected without glasses => 6/6, 6/9
Limits of Myopia => NIL
Limits of the Hypermetropia => + 2.00 D Sph
Color Vision => CPL ( MLT)
Astigmatism => +0.75 Cyl
Near Vision => N-5 each Eye





So if you satisfies these eye requirements then you are eligible to apply for NDA exam and with these there are some of other eligibility requirements shown follwing:

->NDA exam is conducted by UPSC to recruit the candidates in army,navy and airforce wings of National Defence Academy
->Age limit to apply for NDA exam is 16 1/2 to 19 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply
->Minimum educational qualification required to apply for army wing is 12th pass and for airforce & naval wings is 12th pass with physics and mathematics subjects
->And the candidates must be physically and medically fit as per NDA regulations

Eyesight is relaxable to certain limits for NDA exam. If you fall in the the range of that limit then you will be considered for the NDA.

Eyesight Requirement for NDA:



If you have eyesight according to above standards then you are definitely eligible for NDA exam.

Educational Requirement for NDA:

10+2 from a recognized board of education is required for NDA.

Age Limit:

Must be in between 16.5 to 19 years and only unmarried male can apply for this exam.

Mode of Selection:

It will be on the basis of written exam, SSB and Medical exam. Those who score top marks in written and SSB will be eligible for medical and if they pass medical then they will join NDA.

Hi,

It is unfortunate that you cannot join Indian Defence, if you do not meet physical requirements of the exam. With weak eye sight, you will not be eligible for NDA exam.

Even if you apply and qualify the written test, you will be disqualified in the third round of selection, which is Physical test, in which all your physical fitness will be checked and assessed.

For NDA exam, the basic criteria are --

You should be intermediate pass , within the age of 16.5 years to 19 years, male and unmarried. You should also by physically fit.

There are three stages of the exam -

Written test
SSB interview
Physical test

Now, as far eyesight requirement for NDA exam is concerned , here are the measurements ---




So, you can check and see that if you don't have a good eyesight , you will be disqualified.

Therefore, it is better not to apply for NDA exam.

NDA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). A candidate must be an unmarried male. The course of training is for three years.

Citizen Ship :
A candidate must either a citizen of India,Bhutan,Nepal.
If a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit :
A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

Required Educational Qualification :

1. For Army wing of National Defence Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Course

3.Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Height Requirement :
The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. and 162.5 cms for Air Force.

Important NOTE :
Admission to the above courses will be made on the results of the written examination to be conducted by the Commission followed by intelligence and personality test by the Services Selection Board of candidates who qualify in the written examination.

If you meet all the above criteria then you will be eligible for NDA entrance exam.

Rope Climbing : 3 to 4 meters.
