Dear Friend
The eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE is as follow; Age: Maximum 25 years. Marks in 12th: Minimum 60% i.e. 60% or more Year of qualifying examination: If you wish to appear in JEE-2012 then you should have passed 12th in 2011 or you should be appearing boards in 2012. If you fulfill all the criteria then you are eligible for the IIT-JEE 2012. |

for IIT entrance eligibility is minimum 60% mark in 12th. age is not over 25 years. So you are eligible for 2012 IIT exam BEST OF LUCK FOR EXAM |

The minimum academic qualification for admission through JEE is a pass grade in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent, referred to as the Qualifying Examination in this brochure. In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.
Eligibility: You must make sure that you satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in JEE-2011 Date of birth: Candidate belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be born on or after October 01, 1986 and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must be born on or after October 01, 1981 Year of passing qualifying examination (QE): Must have passed the qualifying examination, namely, XII standard or any equivalent examination, after 1st October 2009 or in the year 2010 or will be appearing in 2011 Minimum percentage of marks in QE: candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks and candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. |

ELIGIBILITY FOR IIT JEE 2011:
Date of birth: Candidate belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be born on or after October 01, 1986 and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must be born on or after October 01, 1981 Year of passing qualifying examination (QE): Must have passed the qualifying examination, namely, XII standard or any equivalent examination, after 1st October 2009 or in the year 2010 or will be appearing in 2011 Minimum percentage of marks in QE: candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks and candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination Important notes: (i) You can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. That means you should have attempted JEE for the first time in 2010 or will be appearing in 2011 (ii) If you have accepted admission after qualifying in JEE in earlier years by paying full fees at any of the IITs, IT-BHU, Varanasi or ISM, Dhanbad, you will not be eligible to write JEE at all, irrespective of whether or not you joined in any of the programmes SO YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR WRITING IIT JEE EXAM WITH 60% IN 12TH STD. |

If you have got 60% in 12th, then you are eligible.
Jee can be attempted twice only. Forms for IITjee 2012 will be available from December, 2011. |

Yes you are eligible to take the IIT JEE exam.
Eligibility for IIT JEE:: Must have finished 10+2 from a recognized board with 60% aggregate in PCM . The candidate should have a completed their 12th from a Recognized Board. Those who have Appeared Or Appearing in the 12th Exam may also Eligible to Apply. The candidate belonging to General and OBC candidates must have Secured 50% Marks In their 12th Exam. Minimum 55% Marks for SC/ST/PH candidates. The candidate can attempt JEE Only two times In consecutive years. |

MY Rank in IITJEE is 7000 and I got 59.6% in 12th this year I had applied for revaluation in board exam and result of revaluation will be declare in 1 or 2 month. IIT counsling already started and i filled my choices in councelling , whether I should submit admission fee i.e. 40000 after getting college?
Also,this fees is refundable or not if my admission is cancelled and if yes then how much is refunded? Rajendra Rao Gwalior (MP) |

the minimum eligibility criteria for the IITJEE is a minimum of the 60% of the marks in the 12th board exam there are only two attempts one can make in the IITJEE exam so as you have scored 60% of the marks in the 12th board exam so you are absolutely eligible for the IITJEE entrance exam so best of luck |

See below for IIT-JEE 2012 eligibility-
Minimum Percentage of Marks in 12th- Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their 12th class. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the 12th class. AGE- The date of birth of candidates belonging to GE,OBC and DS categories should be on or after October 1,1987. Whereas the date of birth of those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories should be on or after October 1,1982.... Now you can see that weather you are eligible or not in coming IIT-JEE exam. IIT-JEE 2012 exam date is not fixed yet However this is generally in the month of April.. |

no doubt on the basis of min education qualification you can siy for IIT-JEE EXAM. it is min 60% marks with physics and maths as compulsory subjects of your 12th. You have just two chances for IIT-JEE. One at appearing and other just next year. |

The maximum age limit for applying in IIT examination is 25 years.
Candidates must have pass 10+2 standard with 60% marks aggregate. For SC/ST and PH candidates it is 55% You must have submit your physical fitness certificate. |

yes you are eligible for IITJEE with the marks you have specifed because it has a cut off % of 60 in 12th, and you fulfill that..
just make sure that you are under the age limit of 25. so try hard for IIT JEE. all the best |

I am maharashtra State Board Student who failed in one of the subjects in 12th standard. However, I am reappearing in all the subject to improve my score alongwith passing the 12th standard. The examination will be in the month of October 2011 and result will be declared in november/December 2011. If I pass with more than 81% marks in re-examination, Will I be eligible for appearing in IITJEE 2012/AIEEE 2012/BITSAT 2012. I have already appeared once in all these examinations in 2011. Kindly inform.

the iit jee exam is one of the toughest engineering entrance in india its eligibility marks for attending is 60% in 12 th class the detailed syllabus, old question paper and mode of application will be published on the website www.iitm.ac.in exam will be on april 2nd week |

ofcourse you are eligible to appear for iit-jee exam.. Minimum percentile requred for this exam is mentioned below:- -general, obc and dc candidates are required secure the minimum of 60% marks in their board examination and other qualifying examination. -sc, st and pd candidates are required to secure minimum of 55% marks in respective examination. Maximum attempt for iit jee examination: Iit jee 2011 eligibility criteria a candidate can appear maximum of two times in consecutive years. Good luck… |

IIT is the toughest exam in world
one can attempt only twice you have not mentioned whether you have got this 60% as overall in class 12th boards or this is the aggregate marks of PCM in 12th boards.. anyway..you are the best judge of yourself so i will just tell you the minimum criteria for appearing in IIT-JEE 1) you should be a 12th pass out from science stream with an aggregate percentage of 60% in PCM in 12th boards 2) you have only 2 attempts for clearing IIT-JEE..your first attempt is in the same year in which you pass out 12th boards and the next one will be in the very next year if you fail to meet these two conditions,then i am sorry but you cannot appear for IIT-JEE Hope this helps..
