NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

You cannot appear for NDA as you are girl.

Only Male Candidates which are unmarried can appear for NDA Exam.

And, you must be 10+2 appearing or passed to appear for NDA Exam.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:

>>Candidate must passed his 12th class from recognized board.

>>Candidate must be unmarried male.

Also there is no entry for girls after 10th or 12th to join Defence Services.
The girl candidate must complete her Graduation Degree for applying for Indian Army, Indian Air Force or Indian Navy.

After graduation she can apply for apply for CDS Exam.
CDS stands for Combined Defence Services.
CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.
For CDS the age limit is from 19 to 24 years.

So, first of all just take admission in some Graduation Degree, then think of some entry.

Here I want to tell about the eligibility criteria after which you will be able to know that whether you are eligible:

>>Only unmarried male Indian citizen within the age range 16.5 to 19 years who has passed or are appearing for the 10+2 with English as compulsory subjects are eligible for the NDA exams.

So as per the rules and regulations of the UPSC ,you can not appear for the NDA exams that is female candidates are not eligible to appear for the NDA exams

As per your query it seems that your are more interested towards shaping your career in defense ,so after bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or during your final year of graduation ,you can apply for Combined defense services examinations.

This examination is also conducted by the UPSC twice every year as like the NDA but as I have stated above ,bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for the exams.

The second most important thing for you is that both male and female candidates are eligible for the CDS exams.

The age limit is 19-25 years.

Girls are not eligible for NDA because according to the UPSC rules,the girls can only apply after completion of graduation.They are not eligible for NDA.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and it is an entrance exam which is used to enter into the field of civil services and there are three civil services that are comes under NDA:

1.Indian Navy
2.Indian Air Force
3.Indian Military




Even after 10th,no one can apply for NDA because the minimum requirement for NDA is 12th class.So any one who want to apply for NDA should have completed his/her 12th class with more than 50% marks.

Eligibility criteria for NDA:

1.You must be an Indian.
2.Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years.
3.Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.
4.You must be physically fit.
5.Girls are not eligible for it.
6.Only unmarried males are eligible for it.


Girls can not apply for NDA after 12th and no one can apply for NDA after 10th.After graduation,girls can apply through CDS entrance exam. CDS stands for Combined Defense Services.

I am really sorry to state the GIRLS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE NDA Exam after they pass out of their Class 12th. Also as per your question I would just like to make it clear that not even BOYS can apply for the NDA after Class 10th.

This is all because of the rules and Eligibility Criteria's which are laid by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and the government of India. However if you want to get entry in the defense sector then you have to be a minimum GRADUATE to do so.

There is an Exam named CDS - COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICES This is conducted every year by the UPSC for the purpose of hiring graduate (Technical, Non Technical as well as Medical) for the various wings of Army, Navy and Air Force. So this is the exam which you have to aim for.

This exam is conducted every year in the initial months of the year and so the application procedure starts from October or November.

CDS has entries for the Army, Navy and Air Force. So you have to be a minimum graduate to be able to apply for the same. Age wise you should be within 21-25 years for Army and Navy and 19-23 for the Air Force. Also physical and mental fitness is a must for the same.

AFCAT is another exam you can attempt which is Air Force Common Admission Test. But please note that it is only for the Air Force and not for the Army or Navy. You can check out for this in the Air Force Official Website.

But I am really sorry to say that you cannot apply for the NDA Exam after 10th or 12th, as you are a female candidate.

3. candidates age must be in between 16 1/2 - 19 years
4. no age relaxation is given
5. candidate must pass higher secondary education with maths, physics, chemistry as core subjects

leaving NDA , you can appear for SSC(staff selection commission) exam

Girls also have ability to pass tests of NDA but why they will not be able apply for this test

Girls are NOT eligible for NDA & NA Exam, since National Defence Academy doesn't recruit girls. NDA & NA Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year for the recruitment of male candidates in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force wings of NDA. ... The candidate must be Indian.

In the NDA (National Defence Academy) only 10+2 science male students are allowed to appear in this examination. Girls are not allowed in any case in NDA. It does not mean that girls cannot go in the defence services they can apply in other part of defence services.
