GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .This exam is conducted for M-Tech admission , PHD admission and some of the organization recruit the candidate through GATE score.Even some govt college accept M-Tech + GATE score for lectureship post .

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department are applicable for GATE Exam.There is no marks criteria.

Final year of above mentioned degree are applicable for GATE Exam.But pre final year candidate are not applicable for GATE exam.

You have completed ME degree so definitely you are applicable for GATE exam .2013 GATE exam is already over so you can try for 2014 GATE exam .The notification date for GATE exam announced very soon .

You have ME degree so you can easily apply in PHD course OR Assistant Professor post in Private engineering college OR Govt engineering college .

The GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours time. The question paper consists of only objective type questions.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.
