I am now studying in 11th science(technical:mechanical maintenance).After completing 12th science how I can join merchant nevi.

You need to do any degree with an aggregate of 60%..then you can get in to merchant navy

Yes, you can apply for merchant navy after 12th class...

To become a merchant navy officer, one needs to be atleast 10+2 or a diploma holder...but you must have scored more than 60% in PCM in 12th board...............so if you want to go for MERCHANT navy you can.........

There will be 2 year course for Diploma Holders and successful completion you will be join merchant in either of departments

Age limit is depends on the basic qualification based on that you want to join merchant navy..

• A candidates should be less than 20 years of age on the commencement of the course and should have minimum 60% of marks in P.C.M. at 10+2 level
• or 55% marks in the B. Sc. and should be below 22 years of age
• or should have passed BE/B.Tech. from a college recognized by AICTE and is below 24 years of age.

For that you give entrance exam JEE if you get a good rank in this exam
then you are eligible for admission in college.

Eligibility criteria:-

Eligibility norm for the Merchant Navy:-

1)Candidate should have Indian nationality.

2)Their age must be between 18-42 yrs on 25.02.11

3)should have Graduate from any recognize university.

4)The employed person who is working in central govt. /own business/private sector/semi govt. must have Pay and allowances and privileges.


For Merchant Navy the Selection Procedure:-

1. Preliminary Interview Boards held at respective TA Group Headquarters .

2. SSB Interview

3. Medical & Police Verification.

Yes you can join Merchant Navy after 12th. To became an officer in Merchant Navy You have to complete 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks within age group of 20years or B. Sc. with 55% marks within age of 22years or Graduate engineer within age of 24 years.
