IAS : Indian Administrative Service

This is one of the top civil service among the 24-27 Indian Civil Services.
To get this service you have to clear an entrance exam called Civil Service Exam.

This Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC. This exam is of three levels.
->Level 1- Civil Service Aptitude Test.

->Level 2 - Mains exam.

->Level 3 - Personal Interview.

For Level 1 exam the syllabus is common for all students.

But this is not the case with Level 2 , mains exam. In this exam you have to select 2 optional subjects.
you have to select the optional subjects from the prescribed list of subjects in UPSC website.

as you have already selected History and Public Administration.
you can go ahead with these optionals.
History and Public Administration are very good subjects in the time of preparation,while attempting the exam and also after you start your career as a IAS officer.

Public Administration is especially very good choice being an aspirant of IAS .

History is a optional which has mixed reviews some feels it very interesting whereas some others feel it very tough to concentrate.
