Re: How can I become a Nuclear Engineer after my B.Tech Electrical?
Yes, it is possible. After your graduation, you can pursue post graduation i.e. M.Tech in nuclear engineering from any institute offering masters in nuclear engineering. Yo can also pursue P.hd in nuclear engineering to give you an edge in the field.
One has to clear Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) to seek admission for 2-year M.Tech program in nuclear engineering. There are also doctorate programs (Ph.D) designed for students interested in entering nuclear engineering research or academia. Baba Atomic Research Center (BARC) provides one-year training programme in nuclear energy, following which students are absorbed within the centre itself. Graduates can apply for this programme by writing the GATE exam. After that you can work as nuclear engineer in various government, semi government and private institutions. |
