The interior designing course is pursued after +2 with any stream. The duration of the course is 2-3 years.
However, you must know that the course is just for the technical training for the profession. You yourself need to have creativity and good ideas to become successful.
You can apply in following institutes and you will be admitted on the basis of your performance in the entrance exam. These institutes are:

-CEPT, Ahmedabad
-NID, Ahmedabad
-JJ school of art, Mumbai
-Srishti school of art, design and technology, Bangalore
-School of interior design, Ahmedabad & Bangalore

These are one of the best institutes of interior designing.
After sufficient practice from the institutions you can start off under an interior designer. Those who are employed in the design firms get a starting salary of rs.8000-10,000.
