This will depend on whether you are a male or a female. If you are a female you can apply until you over 27 years. For men it is 25 years. You need to check the instructions before applying. Also do start preparing if you are eligible.

The eligible age to get into the Officer Training Academy (OTA) is 19-25 years. To join OTA, you may write the Combined Defense Service exam conducted by UPSC every year. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for the exam is a bachelors degree from a recognized university. Eligibility for OTO:- Age and Gender: For IMA: Unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-22 years For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-23 years For Officers Training Academy: Male candidates (married or unmarried) between 19-25 years Educational Qualifications: For IMA / OTA: A degree from a recognized University or equivalent. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. Women candidates are only eligible for OTA. Candidates who are appearing the final year degree course can also apply. All the Best |

Hello sir, my DOB is 20th oct'1990 which makes me 24 years of age but, i am told that i am not eligible for CDSE OTA 2015.I belong to ST category and i came across some articles that there is an age limit upto 5 years for ST/SC but i couldnt claim the age relaxation as i tried filling the forms.So kindly enlighten me if there is an age relaxation and if ao how do i claim it.Thank you
