If you have appeared for the Class 12th Examination this time and want to attempt the NDA, then I must say that this is the best time and your first attempt for the NDA. You RE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE NDA AND GIVE THE ENTRANCE as far as the age and qualification criteria is concerned.

NDA as you might well know is National Defense Academy. Its conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year but twice in the months of April and August. This is for the recruitment and selection of the candidates for the 3 wings of Defense namely Army, Air Force and Navy...

Before I go ahead I would have to give you the appropriate ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Unmarried Male Indian
Age should be within 16.5 years to 19 years and no relaxation.
Minimum 12th pass or appeared
Physical and Mental Fitness

Another thing to which I would like to bring your notice to is the fact that ONLY Science students can apply for the 3 wings. But the Commerce and Arts candidates can ONLY APPLY FOR ARMY. If you want to get more information about this exam, then Click here..

For this year the NDA 1 is over but you can apply for the NDA 2. The Important Dates for the same are :

Online Registration date from - 04-05-2013.
Last Date for Online Registration -03-06-2013.
NDA (II) 2013 Exam Date - 11-08-2013

Hello Aspirant,

NDA means National Defence Academy.NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year in order to select cadets for Air force Academy,Naval Academy & Army Academy to study three years course.After that the cadets are sent to the respective academy for special training for one year.Then the cadets are posted as a commissioned officer in the respective wing.

Qualification Required:

For Army cadets:-plus two either in science or Arts or commerce from the recognised board of either central govt. or state govt.

For Air force & Naval Wings:-plus two with physics & math.from a recognised board of central govt.or state govt.

Age: should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Other medical examinations are performed in order to examine physical & mental health.No colour blindness is allowed.

NDA Stands for the National Defense Academy Examination which is conducted every year two times by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Age Limit for the NDA Exam is 16.5-19 years. Also No relaxation is given in upper age to candidates even if they belong to Reserved Categories.

In the year , 2013 the NDA-I Exam has already been conducted yesterday so , if you want to appear for the NDA Exam , then you can appear in the NDA-II Exam which is going to be conducted in the month of August as per the following schedule :

* Last Date For Receipt Of applications : 03-06-2013

* Date Of examination : 11-08-2013

The Other Requirements for the NDA Exam are :

$$ As you have mention that you have completed your 12th std. but, you have not mention about the stream in which you have done it. If you have completed your 12th in Science stream with PCM then you can Definitely eligible for all the Wings of NDA...

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. This academy is located in the Khadakwasla near Pune. In this academy cadets of the three services Army, Navy and Air Force gets training for three years. This examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for two times every year.

To give this exam firstly you need to be a citizen of India. This exam is for the unmarried male candidates of India and you must not marry until and unless you complete full training. If you marry during training period then you will be discharged and you have to give back the amount government have spent on you.

• Maximum thigh length should be 64 cms.
  
• Minimum sitting height should be 81.5 cm and maximum height should be 96 cms.
  
• Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.
