What is the duration of the BAMS course?


i want to know that how much time did bams course take? Can you tell me what is the duration of the course?

To complete the BAMS course it will take 4 years. After that there will be an internship period. After that opportunities are there in private or Government hospital. Nowadays there is demand for doctors in private organisations like Dabur India, Pankaj Kasthuri etc. After this you can also go in for private practice or teaching. If you desire you can go in for further specialisations too.

Hello friend,
The Duration of the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S) course is 5 1/2 years.
The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for the course is +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

To pursue the course, you may take the entrance test All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam, conducted by CBSE.
For further information, you may refer to the official website of the institute, you are willing to pursue the course from.

Duration of BAMS Course

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicin & surjery also known as BAMS is widely popular in

India. This course is a five-and-half-year undergraduate programme. It is offered by

many university/Ayurvedic colleges in India. The course unfold the different type of

treatment used in the Ayurveda.

Eligibility Criteria for BAMS Course :

Candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent from any recognize

university/Board with science physics, chemistry and Biology as a compulsory

subject. The minimum percentage requirement for the BAMS course is 50% for

general category candidate and 40% for the SC, ST and OBC candidate.

Here is the list of some college who offer BAMS course :

1. KMCT Ayurveda Medical college.

2. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Gaya.

3. Institute of Medical Science BHU.

4. Uttranchal Ayurvedic college.

5. Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical college & Hospital.

6. Dr. B.R.K.R Government Ayurvedic college.

I could not give the Pre med test but I gave MHT-CET. and I want to do BAMS. Ia thia possible? I have so much interest in Ayuveda. please tell me can I do this?

i have got 372 marks in pb. pmet and i pursue to get admission in a good ayurvedic college in punjab for b.a.m.s my rank is 2120 in general and 264 in sc category also tell me about fee structure i got 76.2% in pcb

The duration of BAMS ( bechlor of ayurvedic medicines and surgery) course is five and half year. After this you can join any govt hospital as a doctor. There are many ayurvedic hospitals in which you can try.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) is Ayurveda course in India. It is of five and half year.

Friend it is after passing this you get join in both govt. and privet sector.

For admission in B.H.M.S you have to qualify the entrance like:-
> A.I.P.M.T
> B.H.U-P.M.T
> A.M.U-P.M.T
