I have completed my 12th commerce exams and now i am in f.y. b.com..So can i start training for ias examinations from rightnow through SPIPA in ahmedabad? Can I get training for IAS in SPIPA from rightnow till graduation?

yes you can start your preparation for IAS from now. the pattern of UPSC examination is changed now so go through its website & find your subjects & new pattern

The preparation for IAS needs your complete devotion to it. If you are interested in preparing during your graduation then you just start from General Studies. ie. Read newspapers and magazines for current affairs. You can read ncert sst books 8-10 standard. But don't think about covering whole the syllabus of UPSC. Once you cover a significant part of GS then you can start covering up optional subjects. Step by step work lasts long.

Ok don't worry i will help you for its preparation. As you are pursuing your BCom, first you have to concentrate on BCom ok.
When you will reached in final 2nd year then start preparation along with BCom. fine!!! This is not the appropriate time for you right now. so please wiat for until you will reached in 2nd year. Is i m telling truth???

The coaching center you have mentioned that is SPIPA ,ahmedabad is good for IAS preparation.

In the IAS exam, you will have to appear for compulsary papers like General studies, English, Essay. Apart from compulsary papers, you will also have the option of selecting any paper from the following list of subjects.
Agriculture Mathematics, Animal Husbandry & Vetinary Science, Mechanical Engineering Botany, Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics, Commerce,Political Science ,Economics ,Psychology Electrical Engineering Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian,History, Zoology,Law.

yes ofcourse you can take training for IAS...and it is a really good idea for preparaing so early...you visit to various institues in delhi..there are numerous coaching centers for IAS..

Well thats a good decision to start taking coaching classes for IAS but there is plenty of time to write IAS exam. Before that you have to pass your graduation course with good percentage of marks.
You have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for IAS and you have the chance to become an IAS officer. Work hard to succeed because civil exams are one of the toughest exams to get qualified. Try your level best then rest will be yours.

Yes, off course you can start taking coaching for IAS exam from now onwards.

Generally 1 year time is sufficient for IAS preparation. So, if you will start your coaching & subsequent preparation from final year of qualifying degree exam you will get ample time to prepare well.

Yes you can start the preparation from the 1st year of your graduation but my suggestion is to start the preparation from the middle of second year because one year coaching will be more than enough if you make the full advantage of coaching in that one year.

If you start preparation from first year itself, you will not find enough time to concentrate on your studies which sometime may result in the decrease of academic percentage.

Anyway keep this thing in mind that from this year onwards the IAS pattern has slightly changed.

Previously the exam pattern will be
-Preliminary exam followed by
-Main exam

But from this year onwards, the preliminary exam is replaced by Aptitude test. As per this aptitude test, you have to appear for 2 objective type papers having special emphasis on testing their aptitude for civil services as well as on ethical and moral dimension of decision making. The combination of two papers will be together are called as CSAT -Civil Services Aptitude Test.

Anyway no changes were made under main examination.

You can start preparing for this in your second year onwards...

becuse the main eligiblity critera for ias is that you have a graducate degree from a reconized university.
