The duration of the Paper III of French in the National Eligibility Test is 2.5 hours and the maximum marks are 200. There are four sections in the paper, the questions range from being short answer type to descriptive to essay type ones. The instructions for answering questions from different sections are given at the beginning of each section. Section I has 5 questions of 5 marks each, section II has 15 questions of 5 marks each, section III has 5 questions of 12 marks each and section IV has one question which carries 40 marks.
