Whether my son can apply for OBC Non Creamy Layer if our income is 6 lakhs per annum?
I am working as a PSU class 3 employee and my husband in class-2. Our annual income i.e take home pay is 6 lakhs per annum. Can my son apply for OBC NON CREAMY LAYER?

For non creamy layer certificate, the family income should be less than 6 lacs per annum. If it is more than this level, then you will be treated as general category candidate.
There is no other way to get it, because it is purely based on income certificate. Just make sure that you fulfill all the criteria before claiming reservation. |

Recently, there was revision in limit for dividing creamy and non creamy layer among OBC category. It was earlier 6 lacs per annum and now raised to 8 lacs per annum.
Due to recent change, your son is eligible to apply under non creamy layer category. You will have to submit OBC certificate at time of application and counselling for admission to avail relaxation and reservation benefits. |

Basically there is a certain criteria for getting OBC Non Creamy layer certificate. Candidate's whose annual income mainly plays a major role in getting Non Creamy Layer Certificate or not.
