Handia Post Graduate College came into existence in the year 1973 and the college began its operations with affiliation from the Kanpur University. Even though, the college was initially affiliated to Kanpur University, it is presently offering education with affiliation from the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University located in Jaunpur. The institute earned temporary affiliation from the Purvanchal University in the year 1973 and permanent affiliation in the year 1982.

Selection Criteria:

Of these courses, admission to B.A, B. Com, B. Sc and M. A courses are done based on past merit, while admission to B. Ed course is done based on the state-level entrance examination. On the other hand, admission to B.P. Ed and M. Ed course is done based on university test and university merit respectively.
