Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Exam 2012
Indian Armed Force is one of the world’s largest military forces. The jobs in Indian army are a dream for millions of people. It is a highly responsible and prestigious job. There are various services in Indian Army. They conduct various tests for recruiting candidates for different posts in the Armed Force. Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Exam is an admission test conducted by Indian army for the selection of eligible candidates for the clerical services in any of the branches of India Army. The exam is conducted four times in a year. Numerous applications are received by the Army head Quarters from prospective candidates for attending the exam.
Structure of Indian Army Soldiers Clerks Exam
The recruitment process includes a physical fitness test, medical test and a written test. Those who possess the physical standards suggested in the exam notification will be called for the medical fitness test. The candidates who are medically fit will be selected for the physical fitness test. Then the candidates have to attend for the written test. Written test comprises of two papers of questions.
The first paper includes questions of objective type format and the second paper consists of descriptive type questions. The first paper consists of 100 questions from the areas of general intelligence, General Knowledge, mathematical aptitude etc. the time allotted for the exam is one hour. Second paper consists of 50 questions from the subjects of English and Mathematics, The time duration of the test will be of 45 minutes. This test is to evaluate the candidates English language usage skill. The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the merit list prepared by Indian Army.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who have an intermediate degree from any recognized Board in any Arts, Science or Commerce subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate can apply for the test. They must require 40 % marks separately in all subjects. The age of the candidates must be between 16 and 23 years at the time of the recruitment process. The candidates must be a native of India or Nepal. Those who have higher educational qualification will get more preference. The candidates must have 167cms height, 50kg Weight and 77/82 cm Chest.
How to Apply?
The exam Notification for the Indian army Soldiers Clerical examination will be published in all leading news papers of India. The candidates can prepare the application form in an A4 size plain paper in handwritten form or typed format as per the format in the exam notification. The application forms are available from the local Recruitment Offices, District Collector’s Office, Zila Parishads and Employment Exchanges. The candidates are not required to pay any application fee for obtaining the application form. The application form can also be downloaded from the website www.indianarmy.nic.in
How to fill the Form?
The format of the application form will be prescribed in the exam notification released in the News paper. The form should be prepared as per the format and it should be in a handwritten form or in a typed form. The candidates have to give proper care for filling the form The signature of the candidates must be clear and should be there in the column prescribed for that. The form reached after the last date will not be accepted.

- Date of the first exam: First Week of January, 2012
- Date of Second Exam: First Week of April, 2012
- Date of third Exam: First Week of July, 2012
- Date of Fourth Exam: First Week of October, 2012
