Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers integrated programmes in M.A and M.Sc. M.A course is offered in Amritapuri as well Kochi campus. M.Sc course is offered only in Amritapuri campus only. The duration of these courses is 5 years. The university offers programmes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry. The salient feature of this programme includes an exit option at the end of the B.Sc course i.e. after B.Sc. Selection is based on written test and interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Integrated M.A. in English course

Candidates who have completed 12th standard, +2 or equivalent are eligible to apply for this course. They should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in English. There is no cut off in the minimum aggregate score required to apply for this course. The minimum age required to apply for the course is 20 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Integrated M.Sc in Maths, Physics and Chemistry course

12th standard, +2 or equivalent is the minimum qualification required for applying to this course. They should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. They should have secured have secured the marks in each of these subjects. Also an aggregate of 55% marks in 12th is also a must. The minimum age limit to apply for the course is 20 years.

Facilities and features for the integrated programmes

Candidates have the option to exit from the course at the end of three years i.e. on completed of B.Sc candidates can discontinue from the course. Along with facilities like research labs, separate hostel for boys and girls, guidance is provided for preparation for exams like UGC- CSIR, TOEFL, IELTS, GATE and BEC.

Selection Procedure

Selection procedure for both the courses in based on written test and interview. The level of the questions will be of 12th standard. The syllabus of the test will be based on 12th standard level. There will be separate tests based on the area of specialisation chosen by the candidate.

Fees Structure for the integrated programme

The fees for the year 2013-2014 batch is Rs. 58500 for the first year. This includes tuition fees of Rs. 40000, university and special fees of Rs. 6000 each. Other than this the students will have to pay Rs. 3000 as uniform fees, Rs. 1500 ad insurance and Rs. 2000 towards caution deposit. These are all one time fees. From second year onwards the students will have to pay tuition, university and special fees only. Other than this, students will need to pay hostel fees amounting to Rs. 66000 p.a. The fees structure is subject to change each year at the discretion of the management.
